Little Shop of Horrors The Musical on the Mainstage This Month

one of Broadway’s and Hollywood’s sci-fi smash musicals, Little Shop of Horrors with book and lyrics by Howard Ashman and music by Alan Menken, is coming to the Main Stage at The Village Theater at Cherry Hill in Canton, MI this month.  Presented by Spotlight Players, this popular musical will run September 17-19 and 24-26, 2021.

The engaging plot shows meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn as he stumbles across a new breed of plant that he names "Audrey II" - after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it - BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II's out of this world’s origins and intent towards global domination!

Among others, audiences will enjoy these songs: “Grow For Me”, “Suppertime”, and “Suddenly Seymour”.

Director Anne Munro brings you some captivating and delightful musical theater entertainment, along with Spotlight Players' top-notch cast including: Connor Rhoades as Seymour Krelborn; Christine Martinez as Audrey; Marc Rosati as Mr. Mushnik; Dalton Pittman as Orin Scrivello; and Jeff Powers as the Voice of Audrey II.  

Performances will be held September 17-19 and 24-26, 2021, on the Main Stage, with Friday and Saturday showtimes at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday showtimes at 3 p.m. at Canton’s Village Theater, which is located at 50400 Cherry Hill Rd, Canton, MI 48187.
