The Village Theater at Cherry Hill will showcase the featured works of artist Stacy Pearson in a breathtaking exhibit, entitled “Evergreen”, in the Gallery@VT now through January 30, 2022.
Artist Stacy Pearson’s selection of work incorporates the evergreens of nature, where regardless of challenge and change, remain steadfast and reliable. “Likewise, my soul as an artist and the pulse of creativity that feeds my work miraculously remains unhindered by stress, daily pressures, to-do lists, and life’s chaos,” states Stacy Pearson. “I am drawn outdoors, daydreaming out the window, enthralled by the trees, flowers, and wind. In my sleep, I think of new pieces during the doldrum of life’s basic chores, and I long for more hours in my day to create.” Pearson articulates she will never truly understand the origin of her creative energies and she will forever be grateful for the tireless strength of her creative passions that remain ‘Evergreen’.
Hailing from eastern Michigan, Stacy Pearson has trained in scientific illustration techniques at the University of Michigan with a broadened scope branching into botanical art and creative drawing. Her work hangs all across the United States, both in public and private venues, as well as appearing in educational, medical, journal, and social media publications. With a passion for the outdoors, Pearson draws from the natural world as much as possible. Her work incorporates mechanical drafting pencils, watercolor, gold, silver, and copper leafing onto a variety of papers from 200-year-old European hand-pressed paper and book pages to present-day watercolor papers. Pearson takes the beauty nature provides and develops pieces that combine both technical artistry and the creativity of organic form. She invites you to step close, look to each line and undulation of form, and connect to your own experiences and joys found in nature.
